“$303k in 12 Months – My biggest
year on Upwork. Shoutout to you, I
wouldn’t have been able to do that
w/o you.”
“Already 2 Monthly retainers, with one
at £2,000. Dude, I’m flying right now
with UpWork 🚀
Thank you!”
“Acted as a checklist for me & I’ve 3x
the amount of Upwork Invites I get so
I can now handpick my own clients”
It’s me, Oliver. (remoteoliver) & I never intended to be branded as ‘The Upwork Guy’ but I’ve tested it all. Fiverr,
LinkedIn, Instagram, Upwork, you name it.
And at the start, I found it SO hard to get clients, and the clients I did get, didn’t pay much money. My days were filled
with endless revisions, and not knowing where the next client is coming from. I knew I wanted that remote life, but felt
there must be an easier way to get there.
I thought it was the competitive niche, I thought it was the quality of clients on these platforms, I blamed everything
else, apart from my approach.
So I’m on board with your frustration, I’ve been there. I worked pretty much every weekend, most evenings and put all
my time and effect into figuring out the best way to optimise my profile, understand the algorithm, and ways to get my
projects to the first page of Upwork.
None of it was in forums, or twitter(x), so it took a while! All that, plus consuming 60+ Psychology, Sales, and
Marketing books.. that’s when it all slotted into place.
In the span of 3 months, I went from $2,750, to $21,300 in a single month, while I was still in my 9-5.
I documented it all on Instagram, quit my job in Architecture and used that other side of Upwork to earn $235,000+ in
new client work, in 12 months. (Thankfully, you can now do it much quicker).
That second side of Upwork is what all the High Earners keep close to their chest, it’s not something that’s spoke about
on Reddit either.
I’ve condensed all those proven systems and frameworks into the Upwork Playbook. To shortcut your learning curve,
no matter how competitive your niche, and teach you exactly how to do it, step by step.
